Job Description
We are working with a leading financial technology and investment platform seeking a VP/SVP to join its platform partnerships team. This role will focus on managing and growing relationships with key custodial partners that support the firm’s largest wealth management and asset management clients. This is not a traditional sales role. The right person will understand how custodians operate, how independent advisors leverage custodial relationships, and how alternative investment workflows move through the wealth management ecosystem. This person will serve as a day to day relationship lead for custodian partners while working closely with internal teams across product, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and client-facing groups. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys being externally relationship-oriented, but also close enough to the operating details to help drive execution, resolve issues, improve processes, and support broader platform connectivity. Key Responsibilities Manage and support strategic relationships with major custodial partners across the wealth management ecosystem Serve as a key point of contact for partner relationship management, day-to-day issue resolution, and ongoing coordination Help develop and execute business plans for operational coverage of key custodial service providers Work closely with internal teams to support partner initiatives, platform connectivity, and execution of relationship priorities Coordinate partner performance reviews, business updates, and regular relationship meetings Monitor partner performance, identify areas for improvement, and help drive follow-up actions Support reporting requirements and ensure timely and accurate information is shared with internal and external stakeholders Help evaluate expansion opportunities with existing partners and support connectivity with new custodian relationships Organize and manage ongoing partner requests, operational discussions, and process improvement initiatives Build strong working relationships across the organization and with senior external stakeholders Qualifications 10+ years of experience in wealth management, custodial platforms, relationship management, platform partnerships, or related areas Strong understanding of the independent advisor/RIA ecosystem and how advisors work with custodians Direct exposure to custodial operations, platform workflows, trade execution, reporting, integrations, or service-provider relationships Familiarity with alternative investments and how they are accessed and serviced through wealth management platforms Ability to manage senior external relationships while also driving internal coordination and follow-through Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills Comfortable working across product, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and business teams Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at multiple levels Detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Ideal Background Strong candidates may come from custodians, wealth management platforms, alternatives platforms, or firms serving the RIA/independent wealth channel. Relevant backgrounds may include experience at firms such as major custodians, clearing platforms, wealth-tech platforms, asset management platforms, or alternative investment platforms.
