Reports to:VP of Operations and President/Owner Position Summary:The Workshop Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and performance of the workshop; assist with estimating and planning the production schedule and working closely with the design team.Responsibilities:Overseeing all aspects of purchasing and processing custom cabinet orders received, including cost reporting Overseeing all aspects of goods in and out; Coordinating delivery of product to and from job site once complete All purchasing needed for shop, and coordination of day to day activities Oversee inventory levels and order supplies as needed.Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials Participate in determining and maintaining awareness of project schedules with designers and general contractors as needed Works directly with office administrator to ensure all workshop materials ordered and labor are associated with the correct customers Ensure timely completion of projects and assignments.Review completed projects for quality standards, accuracy and thoroughness Coordinates shop up-keep and maintenance, including machine servicing and repairs Communication liaison between design team, and cabinet maker(s) to make sure all details are discussed and products are being built according to design and specifications Direct communication with cabinet makers for material lists and delivery timeframe Coordinating any repair or finishing needed on any damaged product from other suppliers Growing and continuously improving the business while promoting a positive working culture Making recommendations on new tools or products that will assist our shop workers Will oversee the workshop Project in Asana and meet daily via online to review projects and schedules Regular reporting back to department head or direct supervisor This position will work partially in the Yonkers workshop as needed and partially in our Port Chester showroom Qualifications:This position requires the ability to Ensure timely completion of projects and assignments.Address and resolve any quality issues promptly Clear understanding of construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of cabinet construction materials Effective and efficient organization and time management skills Familiarity with workshop equipment and processes.Have a recognized woodworking qualification, or demonstrable experience of working in a woodwork profession.Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment; Enforce safety protocols and standards within the workshop.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits:On-the-job training Paid time off Experience:Millwork:3 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute:Port Chester, NY 10573 (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
