You Are A Chief Technology Officer who is responsible for defining and executing the technology vision, architecture, and innovation roadmap of a cybersecurity services company. You will ensure the company delivers secure, scalable, and differentiated cybersecurity solutions while staying ahead of evolving threat landscapes, customer needs, and regulatory requirements. As the CTO, you bridge business strategy and deep technical execution, overseeing security platforms, tooling, cloud infrastructure, automation, and emerging technologies that power managed security services, incident response, and advisory offerings. The Opportunity Define and own the long-term technology vision and roadmap aligned with business goals. Lead technology decisions across security platforms, tooling, cloud infrastructure, and data architecture. Serve as a trusted technical advisor to the CEO, executive team, and board. Represent the company’s technical leadership in customer engagements, partner relationships, and industry forums. Architect and oversee end-to-end security solutions, including: SOC platforms (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, MDR) Threat intelligence and detection engineering Vulnerability management and risk platforms Identity, cloud, endpoint, and network security Ensure services are secure-by-design, resilient, and compliant with industry standards. Drive automation and AI/ML adoption to improve detection, response, and operational efficiency. Lead development and evolution of proprietary platforms, integrations, and tooling. Evaluate and integrate third-party security technologies and strategic vendor platforms. Balance build vs. buy decisions to optimize time-to-market and cost efficiency. Partner closely with Product, Services, and Sales teams to translate customer needs into scalable solutions. Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of SOC and customer-facing platforms. Establish and maintain SLAs, SLOs, and operational metrics. Oversee incident response readiness, platform resilience, and disaster recovery planning. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, such as: ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CIS, GDPR, HIPAA (as applicable) Lead internal security posture, including corporate IT and internal risk management. Support audits, customer security reviews, and regulatory assessments. Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering, security, and platform teams. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Define clear career paths and skills development for technical staff. What You Need AT least 12 years of experience in technology leadership, with significant focus on cybersecurity. Proven experience in cybersecurity services, MSSP/MDR, or security-focused SaaS environments. Hands-on experience with SOC technologies, cloud security, and large-scale distributed systems. Prior executive or senior leadership experience (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Technology). Deep knowledge of SIEM/SOAR/XDR platforms Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security Endpoint, network, identity, and application security Automation, APIs, and data pipelines Strong understanding of modern threat actors, attack techniques, and defensive strategies. Familiarity with AI/ML applications in security analytics is a strong plus. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into technical execution. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers, executives, and engineers. Experience supporting sales, pre-sales, and customer success with technical leadership. Budget ownership and vendor management experience. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field. Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, or cloud certifications). Experience scaling technology platforms in high-growth or PE-backed environments.
