Mission Statement:We deliver a remarkable grocery experience for our patrons in our unique environments.Vision Statements:Brand:We are a first-class community-based grocer known for our vast selection of unique products and exceptional customer experience.People:Our team achieves success together with transparency, alignment and fostering an inclusive environment for all.Financial:We serve over 2 million customers annually at our multiple locations with best-in-class compensation for our team.Values:Respect- We are committed to our customers, community, and team members alike.Aligned- We are here to achieve our Personal, Professional and Financial goals together.Transparent- We have open communication with our customers and team, from expectations to feedback and questions.Consistent- We show up and produce day in and day out, despite life's challenges.Accountable- We own what we do or say, regardless of success or failure.No excuses.Excellence- We provide the best, in all aspects we control, to our customers as well as our team.We Measure our Success by the following Key Performance Indicators:Sales Revenue Gross Profit Dollars Gross Profit Percentage Customer Reviews and Input Employee Satisfaction Feedback Job Title:Primary Dairy Manager- Manzanita Fresh Foods 5-6 days/40-45hr work week during non-peak seasons 5-7 days/40-50hr work week during peak season and vacation periods Job Description:Act as the Primary Dairy Manager for the Manzanita store.Dairy managers oversee day-to-day operations of their department.Managers' report to the ownership and corporate leadership.They may sometimes travel between different store branches but primarily work within their assigned store.Dairy managers perform varied daily tasks depending on how large their department is, the number of customers who shop there, and the size of their team.However, there are several core duties associated with this job.Key Responsibilities of Dairy Manager position:Inventory & Ordering:Managing stock levels for milk, cheese, yogurt, and eggs; placing orders with vendors; and troubleshooting inventory discrepancies.Merchandising:Designing attractive displays, ensuring products are faced (pulled to the front of the shelf), and managing promotional signage.Quality Control:Meticulously monitoring expiration dates and rotating stock to prevent the sale of out of code products.Personnel Management:Scheduling shifts, training new staff on food safety, and overseeing department hygiene.Financial Oversight:Managing department margins, minimizing shrink (product loss), and assisting with budget planning.Cashiering:Dairy manager position will act as primary back up cashier.Inspect Department and Monitor Inventory Dairy managers regularly inspect the department to determine tasks that need to be completed by themselves and assisting staff.They also monitor store inventory and update inventory logs.This includes managing store displays and stocking shelves and retail areas or directing staff to do so.Manage the inventory to appropriate levels given the business climate.Ensure that lists for orders from the warehouse are submitted as necessary for large volume purchases.Ensure all invoices are inspected for shorts and damaged products and credits are called in and verified.Ensure that we have adequate inventory to capture sales at any given level of store volume.Keep a variety of products on hand with a rotational selection planned for seasonality, holidays and special events.Utilize historical budget data to achieve desired results and targeted Gross Margins.Address Customer Complaints Dairy managers address complaints from customers and work with them to find satisfying resolutions.Know all Policies and Procedures of the Company Solve store problems at the lowest level possible to include facility issues and equipment issues.Enforce and adhere to the company safety policies.The Dairy manager will act as primary back up Cashier Customer service, cashiering, processing customers in an accurate, friendly and efficient manner, notifying management of system errors, system input, manipulation of the POS system, memorization of essential PLU codes, stocking and rotation of product, cleaning and small maintenance of facilities.Following health regulations and safety standards.The cleanliness and orderliness of the front end is also a responsibility, to include, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning, window washing, apparatus/equipment cleaning.Assist in the general operation of the store, when necessary, to include vendor affairs, deposit returns, etcLearn and master the liquor POS sales and closeout processes.Other Provide first class customer service at all times.Participate in tagging for new items, ads and promotions.Assist in the general operation of the store when necessary, to include cashiering, vendor affairs, freight, deposit returns etc Requirements: Experience:Usually requires 1-2 years of retail or grocery experience, preferabl
