Job Summary Join our team as a Part-Time Youth Coach specializing in Dance, Ballet, Cheer, Sports, or Gymnastics! In this energetic role, you will inspire and motivate children by leading engaging activities that promote physical health, teamwork, and confidence. Whether you're coaching a cheerleading squad, teaching dance routines, or guiding sports drills, your enthusiasm will help children develop essential skills while having fun. This position offers flexible hours perfect for passionate individuals eager to make a positive impact on youth development through active participation and mentorship. The Starz Program is a nationally recognized children’s fitness enrichment program that has served children across the country for over 20 years. Our mission is to help kids build confidence, coordination, and a love of movement through fun, engaging classes. In this role you will teach multiple fitness classes to students (ages 2-12) at local preschools, elementary schools, and country clubs. This role is perfect for former educators, substitute teachers, fitness instructors, youth coaches, or parents . Many of our instructors grow with us into expanded roles in marketing, partnerships, and program leadership. Responsibilities Lead dynamic and age-appropriate dance, cheerleading, sports, or fitness sessions for pre-school, elementary school children Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment Implement lesson plans that promote physical activity, skill development, and teamwork Manage group behavior effectively to ensure a positive experience for all participants Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their techniques and confidence Monitor safety protocols during activities, including proper use of equipment and facilities Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding participant progress and achievements Requirements 18+ with a high school diploma or GED Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Previous experience in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or leading youth activities Knowledge of various sports, gymnastics, dance or cheerleading is highly desirable Strong background in childcare or working with students of different ages and abilities Excellent behavior management skills to motivate and guide young participants effectively Passion for promoting health and fitness through engaging instruction and mentorship Able to pass background check and school screening requirements Able to lift up to 20 lbs and actively lead movement-based classes without limitation Application Question(s): What is your typical weekday (9am-5pm) availability to teach?
