Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Dance Instructor and Choreographer to inspire students of all ages through the art of dance. In this role, you will design engaging dance curricula, teach a variety of dance styles, and craft innovative choreography for performances and classes. Your enthusiasm and expertise will foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to develop their skills, express themselves creatively, and build confidence. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups, ages 4&up Teach engaging dance classes that incorporate techniques from ballet, theater dance, and other styles, ensuring clear instruction and active participation Create original choreography for performances, showcases, or competitions that highlight students’ talents and progress Manage classroom dynamics effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and promoting a respectful, inclusive environment Plan lessons that integrate elements of childhood development, special education needs, and classroom experience to maximize student growth Support students’ progress through tutoring sessions, individualized feedback, and encouragement to foster confidence and skill mastery Incorporate multimedia tools such as photography or video recordings to document performances or enhance lesson plans when appropriate Skills Extensive knowledge of various dance styles including ballet, theater dance, and contemporary forms Strong curriculum development skills with the ability to design progressive lesson plans for diverse learners Proven teaching experience with children, preschoolers, or adults in classroom settings Excellent classroom management abilities to maintain a positive learning environment Experience working with students with special needs or in early childhood education settings Familiarity with choreography creation for performances or competitions Ability to incorporate creative arts such as sewing or photography into dance projects when relevant Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students of all ages and backgrounds Join us in inspiring the next generation of dancers!
