Job Summary: BCS, Inc. is seeking a skilled Budget/Data Analyst for a long-term Federal Government client in Washington DC. This role focuses on processing financial transactions, tracking, analyzing and reporting to support the client’s decision making process. Ideal candidate is highly proficient in Microsoft 365 tools and thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Support project financial management by processing procurement requests, tracking budgets, commitments, obligations, expenditures, and close-outs of contracts. Process, coordinate, manage and report on the transfer of funds among government components. Participate in regular projects progress meetings to address requests for financial data. Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance on the data to ensure the data integrity. Reconcile the data with various online financial systems to ensure accuracy and timely responses to regular financial audits. Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial and performance project specific reports to the project managers, leadership, and other stakeholders. Stay informed on policies and updates to financial policies to be able to provide guidance to the project managers. Follow up with various components and federal agencies to collect their projects’ requirements in the process of formulating the spend-plan. Support budget formulation and perform continuous review of changes in projects timelines, to provide updated supporting data for formal congressional queries. Tools and Skills Data Entry, Data Management and Data Processing to produce various data analysis reports using MS Excel, Power Pivot, Data Charts and Power Query. Use and create advanced Excel functions formulas, pivot tables, and modeling to structure and analyze complex datasets. Work in Microsoft Teams to share content and provide access to financial data. Use of MS Power BI could provide intuitive data visualization, detailed analytics, and interactive dashboards as new technologies and systems are incorporated by the organization. Download financial data from various financial sources, combine data and perform QA/QC before providing updated reports to the team members who manage various contracts. Update Power Point presentations for leadership on the status of the budget and spend plans. Utilize MS Access to obtain financial reports to be reviewed during weekly meetings. Required Qualifications Ability to successfully pass a Public Trust background check, Bachelor’s degree in related field or a minimum of (4) years’ experience in comparable data analyst or project-based role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially in Excel and Power Point. Experience in working with budgets, procurements, invoicing, financial reporting or cost analysis. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Federal government clients. Familiarity with financial data standards. Familiarity in the fields of the real property, design, construction and facility management.
