Job Description
The Fiber Technician installs racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and grounding for equipment and cables. Performs continuity testing on horizontal and riser cables using volt-ohmmeter and tone sets, and troubleshoots issues such as opens, crosses, shorts, and transposed pairs effectively. Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, proficiency with required tools, and the ability to serve as a liaison with customer representatives while supporting process improvements. Calculate loss budgets per TIA/EIA standards and complete accurate documentation, including timesheets and work orders
