Education:Required - High school diploma or GED equivalent.Experience:Preferred - 1 year of experience with administrative, data, or clerical duties.Job Summary:The Data Clerk is responsible for clerical support including data entry, processing financial transactions, purchasing supplies, answering phones, and office duties.Essential Functions:1.Create and upload requisitions according to BCFS HHS accounting policies using the correct ledger codes from BCFS HHS approved budgets as provided by the Program Director.2.Track monthly bills and process payment as required.3.Assist staff in properly completing required agency forms.4.Assist in managing client and financial information in company-approved filing/data systems.5.Communicates respectfully with clients, community partners, and/or staff that call or enter Transition Center.6.Support staff with administrative tasks, data entry, budget tracking, and reporting.Measurable Deliverables:1.Submit requisitions to finance in a timely manner by set deadlines.2.All files must be maintained neat and orderly, and confidentiality of file information must be maintained on a weekly basis (within 72 hours for client documentation).3.Complete all assignments by set deadlines while ensuring that assignments are professional in appearance.4.Maintain operational office equipment and supplies, at all times.5.Submit payments for all assigned bills prior to due dates and with enough time to ensure payment is received by due date.6.Responsible for tracking information and making payments on routine services.7.Assist program director in filing, copying, and monthly mailings.8.Assist inputting client data into computer database.9.Answers phones in a professional manner.10.Prepare meeting documentation (sign-in sheets, track attendance, meeting materials, and minutes in a timely manner).11.Completes deliveries between agency offices as needed including assisting with interoffice mail.12.Communicate regularly with Program Director on work schedule and status of administrative duties.13.Receive approval for all purchases from the Program Director and turn in receipts, expense reports, sign in sheets, and other required documentation within the time frame established by the accounting department and/or contract requirements 14.Demonstrate the ability to:a.Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.b.Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English.c.Work in a fast-paced environment.d.Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.e.Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.f.Travel as needed.15.Other job duties as assigned per grant requirements.Requirements:1.Maintain certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid and CPR.2.Valid Texas Driver's license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation.3.Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.4.Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.5.Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).English (United States) If you like to work with people that believe they can make a difference in the world, this is the company for you!
