Company Description YC Bench is a live benchmarking platform evaluating the performance of forecasting models in predicting the success of Y Combinator startups relative to their batch peers. It seeks to push the boundaries of data analysis and forecasting in the startup ecosystem. YC Bench aims to support data-driven insights and provide critical metrics to better understand startup success dynamics. The platform is an essential tool for investors and entrepreneurs looking to make informed decisions. Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Data Engineering Scientist. The Data Engineering Scientist will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to collect, process, and analyze large datasets related to forecasting model performance. This role also involves closely collaborating with research and development teams to implement advanced data solutions, conducting experiments to optimize data processes, and contributing to the development of predictive models for startup success. Qualifications Proficiency in Research and Research and Development (R&D) methodologies. Expertise in Laboratory Skills with a focus on data optimization and processing pipelines. Experience in Protein Engineering and knowledge of its applications. Understanding of Antibodies and their role in relevant biotechnological contexts. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work in a remote team environment. Advanced degree in Data Science, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field is preferred. Experience in handling large datasets and building machine learning models is an advantage.
