Join us. Position Title: Data Science Intern Location: Fairfax, VA Work Arrangement: On-site Overview We are seeking a Data Science Intern to support our analytics and database operations. This role focuses on database management, data pipelines, and modeling techniques Responsibilities Assist with data parsing and database construction Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis Help build and test predictive models and analytical tools Required Skills/Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field Basic experience with SQL and relational databases Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis Understanding of data structures, analytics concepts, and statistical techniques Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Experience with database tools such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server Exposure to machine learning libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, etc.) Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, etc.) Understanding of ETL processes or data pipeline concepts Working Conditions : The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work. Work Authorization Requirement: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship. Hourly Rate : $27.00 Hourly rate depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
