Who you are Experience working in a data science, analytics, or strategic data role at a high-growth technology company Experience turning ambiguous business questions into clear analysis, metrics, and recommendations Ability to work with messy, incomplete, or fast-changing data Strong product and business judgment; you can tell the difference between interesting analysis and useful analysis Clear communication with technical and non-technical teams High agency: you do not wait for perfect instructions before finding important problems to solve Comfort operating close to founders, leadership, product, engineering, growth, and finance Experience in marketplaces, fintech, consumer products, creator platforms, or high-growth startups Strong SQL and comfort working with messy production data Experience with tools like BigQuery, Metabase, Mixpanel, GA4, or similar Ability to explain complex analysis simply and influence decisions without overcomplicating the work Strong product intuition and commercial judgment Bias toward action; you care more about useful answers than perfect models What the job involves Whop is looking for Data Scientists to help build the company’s decision system.
