In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting with daily activities, ensuring a safe and engaging space for children of various ages. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that foster childhood development and learning. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for children. Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational exercises to promote social and cognitive skills. Monitor children’s safety at all times, following proper caregiving procedures and emergency protocols. Help with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers. Communicate effectively with children to encourage positive behavior management and emotional regulation. Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support special education needs or working with children with disabilities. Requirements Previous experience working in daycare settings or with young children is preferred; preschool or classroom experience is highly valued. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Ability to work well with children of different ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and nurturing caregiving abilities. Experience in babysitting, nannying, or working with students can be advantageous.
