Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Child Care Teacher to join our early childhood education team.The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a nurturing learning environment, guiding young children through developmental milestones, and implementing engaging curricula.This role offers an opportunity to lead classroom activities, collaborate with staff, and positively influence children's growth and education in a supportive setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development. Lead classroom activities with a focus on childhood development principles, including Montessori and preschool methodologies. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful environment. Plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation and early intervention techniques as needed. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, ensuring adherence to educational standards and safety protocols. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs. Maintain detailed records of student progress, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing standards. Ensure the classroom environment is engaging, organized, and conducive to learning for toddlers through preschool-aged children. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development, including toddler care, preschool education, and early intervention strategies. Experience with curriculum development across various educational disciplines such as literacy education, math, physical education, and special education. Proven classroom management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Familiarity with childcare standards, daycare regulations, private school policies, and Montessori methods. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate tutoring techniques and support diverse learning needs.
