Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant Teacher

Northwestern Illinois Association seeks a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to DHH students across multiple school sites. The teacher will deliver direct and consultative services, adapt curriculum, and collaborate with general and special educators, families, and related service providers to ensure access to instruction. Duties include conducting assessments, developing and implementing IEPs, recommending assistive listening technology, training staff on communication strategies, monitoring student progress, and advocating for inclusive, language‑rich learning environments aligned with best practices in deaf education.
