OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Debt Collection Agent to join our finance team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, communicating effectively with clients, and ensuring timely collection of overdue payments.This role requires strong knowledge of financial concepts, excellent phone etiquette, and customer service skills.Duties Contact clients via phone, email, or written correspondence to collect overdue accounts while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.Review account details using financial software and accounting systems to identify delinquent accounts requiring follow-up.Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms with clients to maximize recovery while preserving customer relationships.Perform account analysis to determine the validity of claims, discrepancies, or disputes related to receivables.Reconcile accounts receivable records and ensure accuracy in account balances, debits & credits, and revenue cycle management processes.Qualifications Proven experience in debt collection, preferably within healthcare or medical billing environments.Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial software applications.Excellent phone etiquette combined with customer service skills to handle sensitive situations professionally.Familiarity with accounting principles such as debits & credits, account reconciliation, and revenue cycle management.Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining compliance with legal standards governing debt collection practices.Strong math skills for account analysis and data accuracy verification.Experience using financial software or accounting software for tracking collections and managing accounts receivable.Pay:$16.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Paid sick time Paid training Work Location:In person.
