DELI MANAGER Jayde’s Market • Full-time • On-site Bel-Air / Beverly Glen – Los Angeles, CA Company Description Jayde’s Market is a premium gourmet market, café, bakery, deli, smoothie bar, and prepared foods concept located in Bel-Air, Los Angeles. We are known for our fresh prepared foods, sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go offerings, artisan bakery program, premium grocery selection, and elevated customer experience. Our deli and prepared foods department is one of the most important parts of the business and has significant room for growth. We are looking for a strong operator who can help elevate execution, improve consistency, strengthen food quality, refine production, reduce waste, and help grow the department to the next level. Role Description This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role overseeing daily deli and prepared foods operations at Jayde’s Market. The Deli Manager will lead execution across sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go, prepared foods, production, merchandising, inventory, labor management, cleanliness, and customer experience. This person will play a major role in improving organization, consistency, food quality, presentation, and operational flow throughout the department. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and passionate about food, hospitality, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate leads by example, maintains strong standards, and takes pride in running a clean, efficient, high-quality operation. This is not a corporate chef role. We are looking for a practical, hands-on operator who understands execution, consistency, labor control, food cost management, and team leadership in a fast-paced deli and prepared foods environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day deli and prepared foods operations Manage sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go, prepared foods, and daily production Improve food quality, consistency, taste, presentation, and execution standards Reduce waste, overproduction, and operational inefficiencies Manage ordering, inventory, labor scheduling, payroll hours, and food cost controls Hire, train, coach, manage, and hold deli team members accountable Maintain cleanliness, organization, food safety, and presentation standards Improve merchandising and grab-and-go presentation throughout the department Support sales growth through strong daily execution and customer experience Work closely with ownership to continue refining and improving the deli program Qualifications Previous deli, prepared foods, kitchen, café, or food service management experience required Strong understanding of food preparation, labor management, inventory control, and operational systems Experience managing teams in fast-paced food environments Strong organizational and leadership skills Hands-on mentality with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and lead calmly during busy service periods Passion for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and customer experience Experience in premium grocery, café, specialty food retail, or hospitality environments preferred Compensation Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Expected compensation range $70,000 – $95,000+ annually
