Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli items. This position requires an individual who is passionate about food, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong interpersonal skills to engage with customers effectively and is willing to assist another team member if necessary. Duties Prepare and serve deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and freshness. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional items to enhance their experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours, demonstrating effective time management skills. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed to maintain optimal product availability. Skills Experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store setting is preferred. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor with customers. Proficient in basic math skills for inventory management. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Previous experience in sales or customer service within a restaurant or café setting is advantageous.
