Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli items including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and packaging prepared foods efficiently and accurately Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and offering suggestions to enhance their experience Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for quick and accurate transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area by regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils, and food preparation stations in compliance with food safety regulations Restock shelves and display cases with fresh products, ensuring proper rotation and inventory levels to minimize waste Assist with food safety practices such as proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards Support team members in bussing tables or clearing orders during busy periods to ensure smooth operations Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service or working in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment Familiarity with POS systems like Toast for efficient sales transactions Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently and courteously Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate measurement of ingredients Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques Previous restaurant or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential Join us as a Deli Associate where your energy fuels our success!
