Job Description
About Special Occasions Special Occasions is an event rental company that delivers the equipment that makes events happen — tents, tables, chairs, staging, flooring, dance floors, and more. We serve everything from small backyard gatherings to large weddings and corporate events across the region. On the day of a client's event, we are the team that showed up, set it up, and made it look right. That matters. And the people who do that work matter too. We are a team that takes pride in showing up strong, working hard, and finishing the job right. If that sounds like you, keep reading. The Role Delivery Crew Members are the backbone of what we do. You are the hands on the ground — loading the trucks, making the drive, unloading the gear, and setting up the event. The work is physical, it is team-oriented, and at the end of every job you can look back at what you built and know it matters to somebody's big day. This is an entry-level position that does not require prior experience in event rentals — just a strong work ethic, a reliable attitude, and the ability to keep up in a fast-moving crew environment. If you come in ready to work hard, support your team, and take direction well, there is a clear path forward here. What You Will Do Load rental equipment onto delivery trucks accurately and safely at the start of each shift. Travel to event sites and unload equipment with care — no damaged goods, no shortcuts. Set up event inventory on-site including tables, chairs, tents, staging, flooring, and specialty items as directed by your Team Lead. Break down and reload equipment at the end of events quickly and completely. Handle all inventory carefully — treat company equipment and client property with the same respect. Follow your Lead's direction on every job — execute the plan, ask good questions, and stay focused. Represent Special Occasions on every job site — your appearance, attitude, and work ethic are all part of the job. Show up on time, in uniform, ready to work — every time. What We Are Looking For Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly and working on your feet for a full shift. Reliable — if you say you will be there, you are there. On time. Ready. A team player — you do not wait to be asked; you see what needs doing and you do it. Coachable — you take direction without attitude and use feedback to get better. A positive presence — the crew feeds off the energy of the people in it. Bring good energy. Prior labor, moving, event, landscaping, or construction experience is a plus — but not required. We will train the right person.
