Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate must possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of the practice. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining high standards of infection control, while delivering a comfortable experience for patients across various dental procedures. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism, attention to detail, and compassionate service. We are a fee for service, high quality practice. The current assistant is retiring and has been with the practice since inception. No evenings No weekends Finished by 12 noon except for Wed. Responsibilities Assist dentist during a wide range of dental procedures, including advance dental implant , surgical and prosthodontic procedures. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. ALL DIGITAL OFFICE Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, managing suction devices, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques. Assist in comprehensive patient assessments. Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Educate patients on post-treatment care and answer questions related to dental terminology and procedures. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation. Ensure proper handling of medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners when applicable for advanced diagnostics or prosthodontics cases. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience with documentation related to dental procedures for accurate record-keeping. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients. ability to perform chairside assisting seamlessly during complex procedures such as oral surgery and or prosthodontic restorations. Understanding of infection control protocols and sterilization processes within a busy dental clinic environment. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person
