Dental Assistant

East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC) is a mission‑driven, community‑focused Federally Qualified Health Center providing compassionate, high‑quality care to patients across our four Pittsburgh‑area locations. We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team and support our dentists in delivering excellent, patient‑centered care. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures Take and develop dental radiographs (x‑rays) Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental instruments and equipment Provide patients with pre‑ and post‑operative instructions Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the dental EHR Manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations Support inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to ELFHCC's mission Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent on‑the‑job experience Current PA X‑ray Certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire) Preferred: 1+ year experience as a dental assistant Familiarity with community health or FQHC settings Bilingual skills are a plus What We Offer Competitive compensation and benefits package Mission‑driven work environment serving diverse communities Opportunities for professional development and growth Supportive and collaborative dental and clinical team
