Duties Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and sterilization protocols following infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring four-handed dentistry techniques are applied efficiently. Maintain clinical supplies inventory, sterilize instruments, and ensure all equipment is functioning properly for daily operations. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient scheduling as a dental receptionist when needed and assist with medical coding for billing purposes.Qualifications Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a private practice environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and dental terminology. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting with pediatric patients preferred. Certification in chairside assisting and proficiency in vital signs measurement are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
