Dental Assistant - Pediatric (a.k.a. Sugar Bug Hunter & Professional High-Fiver)

Are you fluent in "Toddler," capable of discussing Bluey episodes at length, and a master of the magical art of distraction? Pediatric Dentistry Kahala is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced, glitter-filled pediatric team! We take our dentistry seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We are an established family-owned practice and we are looking for the right personality to complete the puzzle. We are open to experienced dental assistants, but we also love training those who have not worked in the dental field before! The Gig Assisting Dr. and Hygienist with procedures (while humming Disney tunes). Taking X-rays on wiggly patients (ninja reflexes required). Educating parents on hygiene. Sterilization, setup, and breakdown (the un-glamorous but vital stuff). You Must Have: Preferred to have minimum of 3 years of pediatric dental experience, but we are open and willing to train the right individual! The ability to explain a filling in a way that doesn't terrify an 8-year-old. Thick skin (kids say the darndest, honest things) and a warm compassionate heart.
