Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our busy dental practice.This role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional service.The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, and excellent patient communication abilities.Bilingual proficiency is a plus, along with clinic or dental office experience.This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment committed to quality patient care and efficient office operations.No Experience Needed Duties Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk, including multi-line phone systems and patient check-in/check-out procedures Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes Collect payments and handle medical billing Review and update patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Assist the dental team during procedures, including preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment Manage documentation review, medical records filing, and ensure accurate documentation of care plans and treatment notes Maintain office organization, including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and managing office supplies Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries professionally with proper phone etiquette and clerical support Requirements (optional) Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred; clinic experience is highly desirable Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, or similar platforms Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and insurance billing processes Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA compliance Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Previous dental office or clinic experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific software systems This position is integral to providing comprehensive patient care while maintaining efficient office operations.We value professionalism, compassion, and technical expertise in our team members.Job Type:Part-time Pay:From $12.50 per hour Expected hours:24 - 32 per week Work Location:In person.
