Dental Hygienist - Cosmetic Dental Practice Pay: $70.00 – $80.00 per hour About the Role: Our client is a private family and cosmetic practice in Great Falls, VA. The philosophy is straightforward: the best dental work should feel invisible. No pressure, no upselling, just precise, comfortable care that patients actually look forward to. They're adding a hygienist to a small, established team. This is a full-schedule role with consistent patient flow and strong clinical support. What You'll Do: Clinical Care: Perform prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing Complete periodontal evaluations and charting Take and interpret digital X-rays Screen for oral cancer, gum disease, and other conditions Administer local anesthesia and fluoride treatments per Virginia state regulations Apply sealants and preventive treatments as directed Patient Communication: Walk patients through findings and home care recommendations in plain language Build rapport with anxious or first-time patients — this practice skews toward trust-building, not throughput Support inquiries about whitening and Invisalign pathways Documentation & Compliance: Chart all assessments, treatments, and notes accurately in the practice management system Review and flag changes in medical history before appointments Maintain HIPAA compliance throughout Operatory Management: Turn over your operatory between every patient per OSHA/CDC protocol Flag supply needs before they become a problem What You Need: Active Virginia RDH license (required) Current CPR/BLS certification (required) Experience in private practice preferred; cosmetic or family background - a plus Comfortable with digital X-rays and dental practice management software Able to carry a full schedule without cutting corners on care quality Schedule: Only a 4-day work week (no Fridays or weekends).
