Dental Hygienist

Job Overview We are seeking a part time or full time dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. We schedule 1 hour appointments for prophys and 1.5-2 for perio maintenance/ SRP Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and provide appropriate recommendations for treatment. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures. Assist in pediatric dentistry as needed, providing care tailored to younger patients. Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Use EagleSoft software for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and maintaining records efficiently. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Kentucky. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with EagleSoft or similar dental office management software is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for effective documentation review.
