Duties Prepare, clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and drying machines with precision and care Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument inventory, and equipment maintenance logs Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, ensuring all necessary materials are stocked and properly stored Assist dental team members by providing sterile instruments efficiently during patient procedures Follow strict infection control procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Conduct routine inspections of sterilization areas to uphold cleanliness standards and identify potential issues early Requirements Knowledge of sterilization procedures, including the use of autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and related equipment Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a healthcare setting Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and sterilization processes Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to understand instrument handling requirements Experience in inventory management to track supplies accurately and prevent shortages Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining high attention to detail Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Preferred qualifications include familiarity with sterile processing protocols specific to dental practices.
