We are looking for a confident individual to fill our Departmental Supervisory role. The purpose of this position is the coordination and oversight of all unit functions for the Individual Income Tax, Returns Processing Section, which must be carried out to meet Division and Department goals and objectives. Functions include all second-line supervisor duties, including setting priorities, and directing the work of full-time, permanent employees. Additional functions include identifying processing problems, informing administration of problems with processing methods or potential difficulties in meeting deadlines, and managing backlogs and metrics to ensure timely and accurate processing of returns, correspondence, and customer phone calls.Supervisory experience is desirable as you will oversee the daily activities of the unit by setting priorities, directing work, and encouraging employee ideas. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES EducationEducational level typically acquired through completion of high school.ExperienceOne year of experience equivalent to a Departmental Supervisor 11 or experienced-level professional; or two years equivalent to a Departmental Supervisor 10, Office Supervisor 11 and 12, Secretary Supervisor 11, experienced-level technician or paraprofessional; or three years equivalent to an Office Supervisor 10, Secretary Supervisor 10, Emergency Dispatch Supervisor 10, or Human Resources Customer Service Supervisor 10.
