As the Deputy Engineering Project Manager, you will be part of a team located in the DMV area that evaluates and manages the delivery of new amphibious ships, auxiliary ships, and landing craft to the fleet and sustaining existing fleet assets. Our team is led by a Program Manager having decades of experience working in the DoD and shipbuilding industry. Our Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy ships and craft and supports surface ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment. Working in our Arlington, VA office, you will work closely with Government, maritime industry professionals, and support personnel. Our objective: to ensure our clients' mission objectives are achieved with the highest level of capability and assurance, and at the lowest possible cost. In this role you will: Provide program management and technical support to the U.S Navy's Amphibious Assault and Connectors Program's engineering, test and evaluation, and planning yard teams. Keep track of high priority tasks and drive issues to resolution Assist customer with managing overall workload and establishing and maintaining processes Serve as a key communication interface to the customer leads Oversee large projects for the contractor technical and test and evaluation teams and, when applicable, task team members with completing those projects Assist the task lead with coordinating the contractor teams.
