Description Sheriff Department Deputy Sheriff Level: 180 What You Will Earn: The anticipated starting hourly rate for this position is $34.45 - $37.26/hour depending on experience. With a full future earning potential of $34.45 - $47.15/hour ($71,656 - $98,072 annually). This position is a full-time 40 hours per week and eligible for full-time county BENEFITS PACKAGE. Plus Daily Shift Differential Pay along with an additional $1.75 an hour for Saturdays and Sundays 11 paid Holidays at 12 hours per holiday Uniform Allowance On the job training and yearly continuous education Introduction to Cook County Sheriff's Office YouTube Updated Residency Policy: Allows for Deputies to live outside of Cook County and be able to take squad cars home when on call. Allowing for staff to live in Lake County as far west as Silver Bay. Job Summary : Enforces laws, rules, and ordinances to ensure that the public is safe, and property is protected. Responds to calls for assistance. Executes the will of the court in civil and criminal matters. Possesses all of the statutory, public responsibilities, and authorities of the Sheriff.
