Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dermatology Surgery Scheduler to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will coordinate and manage all aspects of scheduling dermatology surgical procedures, give detailed pre and post operative instructions. Your expertise will help facilitate efficient appointment management, accurate documentation, and effective communication between patients, providers, and staff. Responsibilities Schedule dermatology surgical procedures accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems Modernizing Medicine/Ema Confirm patient insurance coverage Review medical documentation, care plans, and medical records to ensure all necessary information is complete for scheduling Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize appointment times and resource allocation Maintain detailed records of scheduled procedures, patient information, and procedural notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations Communicate effectively with patients via phone and electronic messaging regarding appointment details, pre-operative instructions, and follow-up care Requirements Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administrative support within a clinic or hospital setting Familiarity with EMR systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology Ability to review medical documentation accurately and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail for scheduling accuracy and documentation review Prior clinic experience in dermatology or surgical settings is highly desirable Outstanding phone etiquette, typing speed (10 key typing), and customer service skills to provide a positive patient experience Join our team as a Dermatology Surgery Scheduler where your dedication will directly impact patient satisfaction and operational excellence.
