Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of dental hygiene practices. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, supporting the clinical team, and ensuring a positive patient experience through thorough assessments and preventive care. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, with precision and care. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status to inform treatment plans. Take and develop dental radiographs while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical records appropriately. Monitor and record vital signs during appointments to support overall patient assessment and safety. Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care delivery in general dentistry settings. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Proven experience working in dental offices Proficiency with Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse patient populations. Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
