Job Summary: Great working environment located at Upstate Downtown Campus, Level 1 Trauma Center. Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to assure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure. Areas include inpatient, outpatient, fluoroscopy, operating room, and emergency department. Adult and pediatric care (Golisano Children's Hospital) Verify physician orders for procedures as well as properly identifying patient. Performs all required quality control procedures. Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements. Minimum Qualifications: AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible (must obtain within 6 months of limited permit) and ARRT (must obtain within 1 year of appointment), Needs a Limited Permit by time of appointment if NYS License/Registration hasn't be obtained yet. CPR-BLS certification required at the time of appointment. Candidates who possess an A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license or eligible, and no experience will be considered for appointment to an entry level (SL1) position. Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience Work Days: 40 hrs/week; Specific days/hours to be determined. Will be required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
