ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is required.Assist in the preparation of food for cooking.Prepare and portion designated foods and beverages, including, but not limited to, coffee, salads, and desserts, according to instructions.Operate various kitchen appliances, including, but not limited to, steam table, coffee urns, buffet equipment, and dishwasher.Perform sanitation activities in all areas associated with the Dietary Department which included, but are not limited to, cleaning and preparing serving areas, utensils and dishes, sweeping and mopping kitchen area floors, disposing of trash, and performing other sanitation activities as directed by Management.Ensure that all residents are and will continue to receive care that reflects the goals and principles of resident-centered care.Perform other related duties as assigned or required.EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent.On the job training provided Must be a minimum of 18 years of age Must be willing to complete necessary food safety and sanitation certification within 30 days of hire date.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and to follow instructions Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and move intermittently throughout the workday Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel Must be able to lift, push, pull and remove equipment, supplies etc., more than 50 pounds Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents Rose Garden of Pana is an equal opportunity employer.All qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, expression or orientation, genetic information, national origin, age, disability, or status as a disabled or Vietnam-era veteran.When completing this application, you may exclude information that would disclose or reference this information, or any information relating to any other status protected by federal, state, or local law..
