Digital Asset Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Digital Asset Manager to lead the organization, management, and optimization of digital assets across our enterprise. In this role, you will develop and implement robust data management strategies, ensure seamless integration with content management systems, and leverage advanced semantic web technologies to enhance discoverability and usability. Your expertise will drive efficient content workflows, support information governance initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making to maximize the value of our digital assets. Responsibilities Develop and maintain comprehensive metadata schemas, taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, and ontologies to categorize digital assets effectively. Manage the lifecycle of digital assets within content management systems such as Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, and SharePoint, ensuring consistency and compliance with organizational standards. Implement and optimize search engine optimization (SEO) strategies using SEO tools and analytics platforms like Google Analytics to improve asset visibility. Design and execute data models, schemas, and ontologies using semantic web standards such as RDF (Resource Description Framework), OWL (Web Ontology Language), SPARQL queries, and graph databases like Neo4j for advanced data linking and retrieval. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and develop scalable data architectures aligned with information governance policies. Utilize scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, JSON, XML, and APIs to automate workflows, extract insights from web analytics tools like Google Analytics 360, and enhance system integrations. Conduct user research, wireframing with tools like Figma or Balsamiq, and usability testing to improve user interfaces (UI) for content portals or knowledge bases. Oversee database management across relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint; manage graph databases such as Neo4j for complex data relationships. Support content development initiatives by applying content strategy principles, keyword research techniques, copy editing skills, and content management best practices. Maintain rigorous records management practices using Tableau for analytics visualization and ensure compliance with information governance standards. Qualifications Proven experience in digital asset management or information architecture within a content-rich environment. Strong understanding of ontology development, semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL), SPARQL querying, graph databases (Neo4j), and linked data principles. Proficiency in SEO best practices along with experience using SEO tools and web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics 360. Technical expertise in database management systems including SQL (Microsoft SQL Server), relational databases, SharePoint, Drupal CMS platforms, Adobe Experience Manager, and web scripting languages like Python or JavaScript. Familiarity with data modeling concepts, metadata standards, taxonomy creation, controlled vocabularies, and knowledge management frameworks. Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective data structures or information architectures. Strong analysis skills complemented by experience in wireframing (Figma/Balsamiq), user research methods, usability testing, and UI design principles. Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams on content strategy projects while maintaining attention to detail in documentation.
