The Digital Forensics Senior Examiner is responsible for leading complex data collections and forensic investigations across a wide range of digital devices, platforms, and data sources. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong investigative instincts, and the ability to apply industry-standard methodologies to preserve, collect, analyze, and report on digital evidence. The Senior Examiner serves as a subject-matter expert, guiding junior team members, advising internal stakeholders, and ensuring all work adheres to legal, regulatory, and evidentiary requirements. Responsibilities include conducting advanced examinations, preparing clear and defensible forensic reports, supporting litigation efforts, and providing expert testimony when required. Additionally, this position collaborates closely with project managers, dev-op teams, and our team of global forensic technicians to streamline forensic workflows and contribute to the successful execution of investigative engagements. While the position is remote, qualified candidates must reside in California and be available to support engagements throughout the San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles markets. Responsibilities: Lead onsite forensic data collections of laptops, mobile devices, and other ESI Perform forensic analysis of electronic evidence from data sources Present findings from forensic analysis to clients verbally and/or in written format, including providing expert testimony, as needed Develop and refine internal forensic workflows, SOPs, and technical documentation to improve team efficiency and consistency Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior examiners and evidence technicians, fostering skill develop
