Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs in various care settings. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a key part in promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for those you serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to ensure comfort and independence.. Support residents in social activities, meal preparation, and recreational programs to promote engagement and well-being. Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is essential. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with seniors or individuals requiring long-term care support. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Valid driver’s license preferred for roles involving transportation or community outings.
