Direct Care Worker / Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Immediate Opening Location: Hawley, PA October Home Care is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Care Workers / Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one care for a young adult client in their 20s who is bedbound following a motorcycle accident. This position requires hands-on personal care and full assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). The client utilizes Hoyer lifts, and caregivers must be comfortable learning and performing all required care tasks associated with the case. We are urgently looking to staff this case with two caregivers for the following schedule: Caregiver 1: Monday – Thursday | 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM Caregiver 2: Friday – Sunday | 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM Compensation: $14.00 per hour (Monday – Thursday shifts) $15.00 per hour (Weekend shifts: Friday – Sunday) Overtime opportunities available Responsibilities Include: Full assistance with all ADLs Safe transfers utilizing Hoyer lifts Personal hygiene and incontinence care Assistance with bowel movement routines and related personal care tasks Monitoring client comfort and safety throughout the shift Maintaining professionalism, compassion, and reliability at all times Requirements: Must be dependable and able to learn quickly Must be comfortable performing hands-on personal care Experience with Hoyer lifts is preferred, but training can be provided Must have a reliable vehicle and dependable transportation to and from work Must be able to follow care plans and instructions carefully Prior caregiving, home care, DSP, CNA, or healthcare experience preferred Why Join October Home Care?
