Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Associate to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs.In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, promote independence, and foster a safe, nurturing environment.Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve, ensuring they receive respectful, personalized care in a variety of settings including group homes, assisted living facilities, and community-based programs.This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a dynamic and supportive team environment.Responsibilities:Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by medical teams.Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs and preferences.Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in accordance with health standards.Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and social engagement.Document care activities accurately and adhere to all safety protocols related to patient monitoring, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, hospice care, and memory care.Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring.Experience with medication administration, care planning, and assisting with ADLs is essential.Familiarity with heavy lifting equipment such as Hoyer lifts and techniques for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in dementia or Alzheimer's care are advantageous.Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.Previous roles involving home health services or hospice care will be considered valuable assets.Join us in delivering compassionate support that empowers individuals to live their best lives!
