Direct Support Professional - 8AM - 3PM (Monday - Friday)

Job Title: Direct Support Professional Duties Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home care setting Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Monitor and document individuals' progress and behavior changes Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals Assist with transportation to appointments and community outings Skills: Experience in behavior management techniques and strategies Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices Familiarity with senior care, dementia care, and hospice care principles Proficient in using electronic systems for documentation and record keeping Ability to take vital signs and provide basic first aid when necessary Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or similar populations Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Compassionate and patient demeanor Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Benefits: Competitive pay rates based on experience Comprehensive training program provided Opportunities for career advancement within the organization Paid time off and holiday pay If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, we encourage you to apply for the position of Direct Support Professional.
