Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting changes to healthcare teams Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking to meet dietary needs and preferences Support clients during community outings or activities to foster social engagement and independence Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility assistance Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring a safe environment Document care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies and care plans Requirements Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and autism support Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in HIPAA regulations is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks such as patient transfers using Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and families Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities or age-related needs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care environments is advantageous Join us in providing exceptional support that empowers individuals to live fulfilling lives.
