As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play an essential role in promoting independence, safety, comfort, and overall well-being for individuals with diverse needs. In this rewarding position, you will provide personalized support and compassionate care to seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and clients requiring memory care assistance. At Glorious Care Inc., we value compassion, professionalism, reliability, and person-centered care. “We Care Like Family.” Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Safely assist with transfers and mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe clients’ overall condition and report any changes appropriately Accurately document care provided while maintaining HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals based on individual dietary needs and assist with meal support when necessary Support medication reminders and medication administration in accordance with care plans and safety guidelines Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through light housekeeping and laundry assistance Encourage social interaction, recreational activities, and emotional support to promote overall well-being Follow safety procedures and respond appropriately during emergencies, including CPR and first aid situations when needed Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and team members to provide quality care Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, home care, or community-based care settings preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques, including ADL assistance, mobility support, and patient monitoring Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease is a plus CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA certifications are preferred but not required Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude with a genuine passion for helping others Ability to safely perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting with mobility support Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times How to Apply If you are a caring professional who is passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you!
