Direct Support Professional - DSP - CCL (Driver) East County San Diego - Allied Gardens, CA 92120 1. Job Title & Basic Information: Salary Range : $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly Employment status: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem (As Needed). Schedule: Available shifts may include split shifts, AM (morning) shifts, PM (evening) shifts, and overnight (awake) shifts. Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Group Home Administrator. 2. About the Organization and Program About the Organization Optimum Residential Care (ORC) is a residential care provider in San Diego that delivers specialized support services for adolescents with developmental disabilities and behavioral support needs. The organization operates Community Care Licensed residential programs and works in partnership with regional service providers to ensure residents receive safe, structured, and individualized care. Position Overview: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care and supervision within a Community Care Licensed (CCL) residential setting, supporting residents in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive home environment. The DSP assists individuals with daily living activities, skill development, and community participation while promoting independence and personal growth. Staff are responsible for implementing each resident’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP), maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring services are delivered in accordance with Community Care Licensing regulations and agency policies. The role requires consistent supervision, clear communication with team members, and a commitment to supporting the overall well-being and safety of residents in the program. 4. Key Responsibilities / Job Duties: Direct Care Responsibilities: Provide direct support to residents with developmental disabilities, promoting safety, independence, and personal growth within a structured residential environment. Uphold and protect resident rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality in accordance with Title 22 Community Care Licensing regulations and agency policy. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and medication assistance according to established care plans and agency procedures. Support the implementation of each resident’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) and Individual Service Plan (ISP) by assisting with daily goals, activities, and skill development. Maintain a safe and supportive living environment through attentive supervision and consistent implementation of behavioral and support strategies. Transport and accompany residents to school, medical appointments, community activities, and recreational outings using agency vehicles when required. Prepare meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist with kitchen clean-up and general household upkeep. Perform additional duties as assigned or as needed to support the safe and effective operation of the residential program. Administrative Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily notes, incident reports, medication logs, and other program records in accordance with agency policies and Community Care Licensing requirements. Report incidents, concerns, or changes in resident behavior, health, or safety promptly to supervisors and appropriate team members. Communicate regularly with supervisors, coworkers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and effective coordination of services. Participate in staff meetings, required trainings, and program planning activities. Assist in maintaining organized resident files and ensuring documentation is current and complete. Support daily operations of the residential program and perform additional duties as assigned to maintain program safety, compliance, and overall effectiveness.
