We are looking for one dedicated individual who desires to be part of a Self Determination team that truly makes a difference in the life of one young artist on the Autism Spectrum.Responsibilities Time management (scheduling time, being on time, preparing for meetings ahead of time, etc.) Developing, documenting, and following a schedule and routine including daily, weekly and monthly task/activities Setting and following a schedule to review and respond daily to emails Maintaining/updating a list of agreed-upon tasks that correlate to the individual's goals and objectives Documenting weekly priorities that correspond to the individual's overall goals and objectives Assisting the individual to complete and focus on tasks corresponding with weekly priorities Providing Interpersonal support/social interpretation with colleagues and peers Money management (budgeting for phone calls, pencils, how to price artwork, etc.) along with devising a personal budget Assisting the individual to focus on the agreed-upon business parameters, business plan development and implementation Assistance to hold art exhibits/exhibitions Utilizing technology (calendar on phone, set reminders, utilize AI for taking notes, etc.) Reinforcement of following boundaries (decrease the number of phone calls, texts, and emails to contacts with colleagues) Assistance in setting up new interviews with veterans in accordance with monthly priorities Ensure that the individual takes proper breaks as well as not to over-schedule himself Reinforcement of safety skills in the community Facilitation for community connections including developing and maintaining relationships/friendships with non-disabled peers Safety at home Meal planning and grocery shopping assistance along with safety in the kitchen Scheduling and doing own laundry Ensuring proper pet care (feeding, water, walking, etc.) Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older, preferably male Ability to demonstrate active listening, patience, and empathy when communicating. Possess excellent organizational skills and be able to support the individual in setting up daily/weekly/monthly tasks along with keeping track of outcomes. Able to be creative and flexible, problem solve, organize, and complete tasks in a timely manner, follow directions of supervisor (written and oral instructions), take initiative, and work effectively with other SDP team members. Able to interact appropriately and maintain positive working relationships with the individual and his family members, team members, and the general public. Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills; exercise discretion and handle sensitive and confidential matters appropriately. Ability to properly interpret and support the individual to meet his goals, follow his priorities, and help set new goals/priorities. Basic proficiency in general computer use.Ability to devise and use Excel preferred. Ability to resolve conflicts and remain calm and collective in stressful environment. Ability to travel locally and transport the individual to support the individual's participation in activities related to his person-centered plan. Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation Knowledge of setting up and maintaining a YouTube channel preferred. Reliable transportation and clean driving record required.Pay:$22.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
