Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic 7P-7A, 3-4 days per week (MUST HAVE CURRENT CERTIFICATIONS. Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, aging, and health conditions. In this vital role, you will support residents in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve while fostering a positive and nurturing community. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist residents with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning routines and sanitation practices in resident rooms and common areas Support residents during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and facility policies Skills Proven experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and patient monitoring Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, autism support, and mental health disorders. Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently; certification preferred but training provided if needed Excellent observational skills for patient safety, patient observation, and recognizing health changes early Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility; experience with Hoyer lifts is advantageous Compassionate communication skills to connect effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
