Job Title Live-In Direct Service Provider (DSP) - Evening, Overnight Sleep, Morning Support Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and compassionate Live-In Direct Service Provider (DSP) to support individuals in a residential home setting and provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs in a residential home setting.In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being.Your dedication will help create a positive environment where individuals can thrive, grow, and enjoy a fulfilling life.This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while developing valuable skills in caregiving, health monitoring, and community support.Position Overview Peace at Home is seeking a reliable and compassionate Live-In Direct Service Provider (DSP) to support individuals in a residential home setting.This position follows a structured live-in schedule, including:Paid evening support hours A designated overnight sleep period Paid morning support hours Staff are provided with on-site accommodations and are expected to maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment while remaining available to respond to client needs overnight.Schedule:Active (Paid) Hours:4:00 PM - 10:00 PM 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM Overnight Sleep Period:10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Key Responsibilities:Evening & Morning Support:Assist with daily living activities (meals, hygiene, routines) Provide supervision and support in the home Implement care plans and maintain structure Complete documentation and shift notes Overnight Support:Remain on-site during overnight hours Sleep during designated period when no assistance is required Respond promptly to any client needs or emergencies Document any overnight interruptions Compensation:Hourly pay for all active working hours Overnight sleep period is unpaid, with:Compensation provided for any interruptions or time worked overnight Full details of compensation will be reviewed during the interview process Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent Experience in caregiving, DSP, or residential support preferred Ability to maintain a consistent live-in schedule Reliable, responsible, and responsive Strong communication and documentation skills Work Environment:This is a live-in residential role requiring overnight presence in the home.Staff are expected to maintain professionalism, boundaries, and a supportive presence at all times.Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any concerns promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Engage clients in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols Operate equipment such as hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers to prevent injury Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and organizational policies Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is highly valued Knowledge of first aid, CPR, CPI and emergency response procedures to handle urgent situations effectively Strong patient observation skills to monitor changes in condition or behavior and respond appropriately Ability to assist with complex tasks such as medication administration, care planning, and vital signs measurement Experience in assisted living or home & community care environments demonstrating adaptability and compassion Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs while maintaining safety protocols Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, families, and healthcare professionals Join us in making a positive impact!
