Job Description
Overview Join our caring and supportive team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Adult Day Program and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.In this rewarding role, you will support individuals in building independence, developing social and daily living skills, and actively participating in community-based and center activities.Your encouragement, patience, and positive attitude will help create a safe, engaging, and person-centered environment where individuals feel respected, valued, and empowered to achieve their personal goals.This position offers the opportunity to build strong relationships, develop professional caregiving and support skills, and make a positive impact within your community every day.Duties & Requirements Provide direct support and supervision to individuals participating in the adult day program Assist individuals with daily living skills, social interaction, community integration, and recreational activities Support participants in achieving individualized goals and promoting independence in a person-centered manner Encourage participation in age-appropriate activities, volunteer opportunities, and community outings Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all individuals served Accurately document daily activities, progress notes, and any incidents or concerns Previous experience working in adult day programs, group homes, behavioral programs, or community-based settings preferred Knowledge of developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral support, and person-centered practices highly desirable CPR and First Aid certification required; additional trainings such as CPI, HIPAA, or DSP certifications are a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively interact with individuals served, families, staff, and community members Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to support individuals in living meaningful and fulfilling lives Join us in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where every individual is encouraged to grow, connect with their community, and reach their fullest potential.Pay:$16.90 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Application Question(s):Are you willing to complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening in accordance with company policy and licensing requirements?
