Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Provider and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and dignity Support behavioral health needs through positive behavior management strategies and effective communication techniques Facilitate social interactions and community outings to encourage social skills development and community integration Collect data on progress, behaviors, and goals to support care planning and documentation requirements Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate medication administration records Use American Sign Language or other communication methods to effectively engage with individuals who have communication challenges Drive clients safely to appointments, activities, or outings, ensuring adherence to transportation safety protocols Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or related conditions is highly preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices is advantageous Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language or alternative communication methods Prior experience in home & community care settings or caregiving roles is desirable Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving support Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties Familiarity with data collection, behavior management techniques, and medication administration protocols Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms lives!
