DIRECTOR, 1 NORTH/ICS

Apply Description The Director has 24-hour/7 day per week responsibility for all patient care activities in their department and for reviewing performance in relation to recognized standards. He/she functions as a primary public relations representative for the department and staff in dealing with medical staff, patients, and families under his/her care or supervision. Has quality and fiscal responsibility for their department. Possesses a broad knowledge of legal aspects of nursing and regulatory requirements. Has full access to patient health information. Requirements Licensed as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. BSN required (current incumbents as of 1/1/2010 are excluded from this requirement). Management experience preferred. Related clinical experience is required for area of responsibility. Problem solving and leadership abilities.Good interpersonal skills. Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
